“Welcome to our new collection! The CONSORT collection is about creative collaboration, exploring relationships between different creative fields, perfumers and ingredients. Our first two perfumes in this collection pivot on a single ingredient: PATCHOULI. Two different perfumers create two very different fragrances with a central ingredient to create two very different sides of a story.
For me this iconic perfumers’ staple is full of contradictions, patchouli appears fresh, aromatic and verdant on the surface, but delivers an unexpectedly dark, spicy, powerful punch. With such duality there was only one inspirational myth to explore it: Pluto, King of the Underworld and his bride Persephone.
It has been a pleasure to work with such talented perfumers on this collaboration. Christian Provenzano and Kevin Mathys have both brought their meticulous, creative and thoughtful responses to create a dynamic pair of unique, daring and decadent perfumes. The perfumes have been designed to stand alone, to create a conversation and even to layer. We hope you enjoy them.”

PERFECT PAIR OF PATCHOULIS
Our first two fragrances to launch in this collection are an exploration of a single central note through two very different lenses within the same story: that of the Persephone and Pluto, King of the Underworld. Our central note is patchouli: for us the duality of its verdant abundance and its dark earthy notes perfectly represents both lightness and dark and the confluence of nature and the underworld.

PERSEPHONE'S PATCHOULI

Inspired by Persephone – the fresh faced natural beauty of Persephone was free from artifice or evil, her sweet nature and purity of soul was adored by gods, goddesses and humankind.
This delightful woody amber enters with a fresh and elegant cardamon, lightly laced with plum and pomegranate before opening into a heart of Egyptian jasmine, a fresh, aromatic, clean patchouli and a tint of rose. The light woods of sandalwood and cedar combined with a light musk and amber notes make this a light, sensuous and very versatile scent.
PATCHOULI OF THE UNDERWORLD

Inspired by Pluto, King of the Underworld, a powerful character with a magnetic sexuality.
This perfume is a dark carnal patchouli with references to musky sexuality, power, opulence. It captures the darkness of the underworld and the hidden riches of the earth below with glimpses of the light above the surface. Mathys lures the wearer into Pluto’s Underworld with an intoxicatingly dark and carnal patchouli that he describes as being “furry in texture and as black as a panther.”

We take great care with our presentation combining the highest quality with details symbolic of ancient ROME. The eagle on our crest was an important symbol of beauty, power and agility; the mosaic pattern surrounding it symbolic of eternity. The sun on the base an eternal symbol of vitality linking the lives of ancient Romans to us today. The lid is inspired by Roman architecture and of course the metal cape and shield drawn from Roman generals.
